All of this season’s Pac-12 assistant coaches’ salaries are not yet known. Among those that have been made public, Likens ranks near the top for his position. Oregon’s Marcus Arroyoreportedly has a base salary of $750,000. Washington’s Bush Hamdan makes $700,000.
Per a USA Today database, California’s Beau Baldwin last season made $675,000. Stanford and USC are not required to release contract details because they are private schools.
Edwards this season will make $2 million, significantly less than Graham, who last season pocketed $3.2 million. That makes Edwardsamong the Pac-12’s lower-paid head coaches, but ASU actually is paying more this season for its pool of on-field assistants.
Last season’s group – which included nine assistants -- made a collective $3,520,000. This season, those same nine positions earn$3,570,000. Add in tight ends coach Donnie Yantis – added after the NCAA approved a 10th assistant – and the sum grows to $3,730,000.

Defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales this season has a base salary of$525,000.

As offensive coordinator, Napier last season had a base salary of $550,000. In 2016, offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey made $650,000.

offensive coordinator Rob Likens likely will be among the Pac-12's higher-paid offensive coordinators this season. First-year coach Herm Edwards promoted Likens to the position in December after offensive coordinator Billy Napier left to take the head job at Louisiana.
Steve Berkowitz and USA Today published their annual list of college football assistant coach salaries this morning, and nine guys are making at least $1.9 million. They are: Garrett Riley (Clemson OC) - $2,050,00. Ryan Grubb (Washington OC) - $2,000,004.
1. Blake Baker, LSU. LSU had a big problem on defense last season and broke the bank on new defensive coordinator Blake Baker. The Tigers got Baker to leave Missouri for a three-year deal that pays $2.5 million annually, making him the highest-paid assistant in all college football.
How much does Steve Kerr make? According to reports, Golden State's head coach Steve Kerr now earns $17.5 million a year. To be clear, Kerr put pen to paper on a two-year deal in February that made him the highest-paid coach in the league.
New Arizona coach Brent Brennan's contract will pay him $17.5 million over five years, though his initial salary will be below what Jedd Fisch was set to earn in 2024. Brennan's base salary in his first season is $2.2 million, increasing by $200,000 annually to $3 million in 2028.
Elko's six-year contract will last through Jan. 30, 2030, with an annual base salary of $7 million. He'll also qualify for post-season incentives and pay increases depending on the team's performance.
Ohio State's assistant coaches will make more than $11 million combined in 2024, the highest-paid staff since USA Today began researching salaries for assistant coaches in 2009.
New offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy also came at a bargain. His two-year contract calls for him to make $550,000 per year. Bieniemy will receive a $180,000 hiring bonus if he remains on the job through Dec. 7, 2025.
Given the success of the Georgia offense in 2023 in Bobo's first season back as offensive coordinator, he may get a bigger boost in pay this offseason. Bobo currently ranks as the 53rd highest paid assistant coach nationally at just over $1 million a year, according to USA Today's annual salary survey.
New UCF offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Darin Hinshaw signed a two-year deal that pays him $600,000 annually, according to documents obtained by the Orlando Sentinel.
